Universidad Católica de Cuenca (UCACUE) is a private higher education institution founded on September 7, 1970. It is registered with Ecuador's SENESCYT, holds accreditation from CEAACES, and has received 82 program approval resolutions from the Council of Higher Education (CES).

The university operates from its main campus in Cuenca, branch campuses in Azogues and Macas, and extensions in Cañar and San Pablo de La Troncal, organized into eight academic units that integrate teaching, research, innovation and social engagement.
